IPMS is a technology which comprises of Project Management System, Highway Information Modelling (HIM) and Geographical Information System (GIS).
Leveraging on this technology will help increase the transparency in information sharing while optimising the project cost as well as leading to faster and accurate decision making.
IPMS is designed to help project personnel during the construction stage and the asset management at the later stage during the operation and maintenance stage.
Pan Borneo Highway Sarawak boasts being the first project in the country which is making use of this technology.
The LLM delegates also visited Telok Melano-Sematan (WPC01) to look at the progress of this 32.77km stretch which is nearing its completion with works now focussing on asphalt laying. Works at this works package is expected to be completed by early next year.
