The event, organised by the Malaysian Society for Occupational Safety and Health (MSOSH), was held in conjunction with the International Day for Occupational Safety and Health by the International Labour Organisation (ILO).
A total of 52,494 participants took part in the record-breaking feat held at 800 premises across the country.
LBU’s Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Officer Abdul Rahman Kadir, pleased with the participation from the works packages, said LBU, being the Project Delivery Partner for the highway project had always placed safety as its top priority in the construction of the project.
“All our 11 works packages conduct toolbox briefings every morning before the workers get down to their respective daily routine.
“This important practice in our HSE culture ensures that everyone is briefed on the safety aspects of their daily work. At the same time, the Toolbox Briefings are an opportunity for the team to discuss hazards or controls, incidents or accidents,” he said.
