Thursday, 26 April 2018, Kuching: A two-minute drone video showing the progress of Telok Melano-Sematan (TMS) works package uploaded on Pan Borneo Highway Sarawak Facebook page on April 17 has amazingly reached a whopping 93,168 people so far (at the time of writing).
Breaking down the figures, it shows that the drone video reached an average of 10,352 people a day since it was uploaded.
The TMS drone video has so far received 810 likes with 902 people sharing it on their respective Facebook timeline.
Another short drone video on the progress of Sematan-Sungai Moyan (SSM) was uploaded last week, after the TMS drone video. It has so far reached 8,957 people with 168 likes and 72 shares.
The astronomical number of people reached in both drone videos shows that the people are keen to know about the progress of this highway project since it was launched in 2015.
The drone video could give the people a better picture of what is happening on the ground and is testimony that construction is currently on-going.
The Pan Borneo Highway Sarawak Facebook page has become a source of information for the public as well as the media organisations who want to know about the progress of this project.
Lebuhraya Borneo Utara (LBU), being the Project Delivery Partner (PDP) for this highway project has taken onto the social media to inform the public on the development of the Pan Borneo Highway Sarawak project which is expected to be completed by end of 2021.
Since the page was launched early last year, it has attracted a legion of followers with 16,797 people so far while 16,000 of them have liked the page.
As for Pan Borneo Sarawak Twitter page, it has so far attracted 716 followers while the “panborneohighwaysarawak” Instagram has 208 followers.
