Monday, 23 April 2018, Kuching: Thirty-one participants attended a one-day Project Alignment Workshop which started this morning to chart the strategy map and corporate project goals for the Pan Borneo Highway Sarawak for this year.
Attended by key stakeholders and partners of this highway project whom included representatives from relevant government agencies i.e. Works Ministry, Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Transportation (MIDT and Public Works Department (JKR), the workshop was a continuation of the previous similar workshops aimed to align all the stakeholders in this project to see its objectives come to fruition, in others words to deliver a fully completed Pan Borneo Highway Sarawak by the end of 2021.
LBU chief executive officer Ir. Safuani Abdul Hamid in his opening remarks this morning said the workshop aimed to discuss and share objectives and insights on how different stakeholders could support each other to deliver the project
“By participating in this workshop, we hope to understand how we can cascade these objectives into tactical plans for the site teams.
“We have to understand that these initiatives are in place to drive project excellence delivery across the PDP Galaxy and for the Project.
“The Corporate objectives require everyone’s support for it to be achieved and hence, we need you to think of what should be in place on your end to ensure we meet our project goals,” he said, adding that ideas and input from the stakeholders were much needed to ensure the objectives could be translated into clearer goals.
Safuani also mentioned to those present in nutshell on the target to be achieved for this year while adding that plan was in place to tender out construction works for Kuala Baram towards Sungai Tujuh CIQ works in Miri and the Red Line at five sections.
