SKB donates to SK Nanga Selangau

Friday, 9 March 2018, Kuching: In yet another caring move to help those in need, the PDP team and main contractor of Sungai Kua Bridge-Sungai Arip Bridge (SKB) works package have recently come to the aid of SK Nanga Selangau by contributing some cash donation to the school which was affected by flood prior to the Chinese New Year celebration.

The donation came on the heels of the gotong royong activity prior to the Chinese New Year celebration. to clean up the school which was inundated by water following the incessant rain which lashed the state

The donation was handed over by SKB project manager Baharuddin Samsudin the school headmaster Bubong Janting in a simple handing over ceremony at the school.

SK Nanga Selangau is located about 10km to 15km from Selangau and has about 340 pupils with 26 teachers.

During the gotong royong held last month, the SKB project team rolled up their sleeves and help cleaned up the school despite having a tight schedule in meeting their construction works deadline.

The team also lent a helping hand in the joint effort with relevant government agencies by providing logistic support to transport essential items to the school.

Other than SKB, the project team at Bintangor Junction-Julau Junction & Sibu Airport-Sungai Kua Bridge (BSK) also helped to clean up another school, SK Nanga Kua last month after the school was also inundated by water due to the incessant rain.
